Our expanded use of Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF) and the electrification of our ground vehicles have set new industry benchmarks for eco-friendly practices. These initiatives are part of our broader goal to transparently lead the industry towards a more responsible  future.”

Electrification of FBO Ground Handling Equipment (GHE)

Luxaviation is reducing ground emissions by electrifying its Fixed Base Operator (FBO) Ground Handling Equipment (GHE). This shift to electric GHE lowers environmental impact and boosts operational efficiency. ExecuJet, a Luxaviation Group member, has achieved 57% of its GHE electrification target for 2030. Its FBO at Paris Le Bourget is now 100% electrified. The company aims for 65% GHE electrification across all ExecuJet FBOs by 2027.

Energy Efficiency and Waste Management

By optimising energy use and embracing innovation, Luxaviation integrates best practices for environmentally and socially responsible operations. The company’s waste reduction strategies highlight its commitment to sustainability. Luxaviation aims to cut single-use plastic bottles and cans by 60% across all ExecuJet FBOs by 2025, with complete elimination targeted by 2026.

Community and Employee Engagement

Alongside its environmental efforts, Luxaviation strongly focuses on social responsibility through community and employee engagement programs. The company supports local communities with various initiatives and promotes diversity and inclusion within its workforce.

Collaborative Efforts and Future Plans

Luxaviation’s sustainability strategy includes a multi-stakeholder engagement program and collaborations with industry partners. These partners include aircraft manufacturers, regulatory bodies, and environmental organisations. Luxaviation has partnered with EcoVadis, a leader in business sustainability ratings. This partnership highlights Luxaviation’s commitment to transparency and accountability. Other key partnerships include Azzera, a provider of sustainability solutions for aviation, and Nordic EVTOL Networks, a leading vertiport developer in Scandinavia.

The 2023 Sustainability Report details ongoing initiatives and future plans, guided by the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (UN SDGs). Luxaviation explores electric and hybrid propulsion systems and invests in sustainable technologies, paving a path for growth. The company aims to decarbonize operations by 2030 and achieve the industry’s net-zero emissions target by 2050.

Deploying operations requires in-depth expertise and presence or partnership at every step. As a result, project management and overall economics are derived from operator deployment.
